Is it safe to transport a small dog with his Dog Carrier Bags in the trunk rack of my 2024 Goldwing?

I believe there is a 10 pound limit carrying capacity to the trunk rack. That said, I have seen it done by others.

fyi, for anyone wanting to carry a small dog. My wife pilots her own bike and our travel buddy is a small 4lb Yorkie

We've tried several pet travel bags over the years, most were lacking quality. Last year I was looking for new rain suits and instead found a very high-quality pet carrier designed for motorcycles. It has top, front and side flaps with zippers & mesh screens that can be adjusted depending on the weather. It also has a treat pouch and an integrated leash to prevent him jumping out. I would suggest using a well-fitting harness, not a collar. Tie down straps are provided. I don’t have a luggage rack but it fits perfectly across the passenger seat of a 2021 GL1800 and straps snugly to the passenger grab bars.
